Important information about your BT service.
At BT, we always try to make sure that our customers get value for money. So while we update you on a few changes to your current calling plan, we'd also like to point out some of the really useful features that come with your BT landline. For instance:

So you can make the calls you need to companies like your bank, insurance company or energy supplier without worrying about the cost. If you are not on any of the calling plans mentioned above, please check below for your inclusive call times.

We are also making some changes to your BT service.
We'd also like to make you aware of some changes to our prices, terms and conditions, effective from 1st April 2010. These include changing what we define as the evening call period for all types of calls: at the moment from 6pm-6am, but changing to 7pm-7am. For more details about this change, as well as changes to our call set-up fee and daytime rate, please see below.

Calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers are inclusive during the weekend if you are on BT Basic, evening and weekend if you are on BT Together Local or BT Working Together Talk and anytime if you are on BT Working Together. Light User Scheme and In-Contact Plus customers are not eligible for inclusive calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers. Exclusions and fair usage policy applies.
1. Inclusive 0845 and 0870 calls: calls of up to 60 minutes duration (excluding indirect access numbers and dial-up internet access) at times dependent on existing residential BT Calling Plan. Fair use policy applies - maximum 1,000 minutes or 150 calls a month. If either of these limits on inclusive calls is exceeded, BT will charge for these calls until further notice. Terms and conditions apply.
2. BT Answer 1571: At least two chargeable or inclusive calls (excludes BT Broadband Talk calls) must be made per month to avoid monthly charge of £1 being added to your bill for the service. Opt in required. Deactivation of 1571 service and deletion of messages occurs after 90 days' mailbox inactivity. Some social and burglar alarm equipment may be incompatible with BT's messaging service -
check with your supplier.
Calls to 0871 numbers will cost no more than 10ppm plus 9.3p set-up fee; calls to 070 no more than 50ppm, with a maximum set-up charge of 50p. See www.bt.com/personal/pricing |
Changes to home phone calling plan prices in April 2010.

Daytime and Evening call period.
From 1st April 2010 we will be changing the evening call period: currently from 6pm-6am, changing to 7pm-7am. As a result, calls made between 7pm and 7am will be charged at the evening rate. This change will affect all call types, including calls to mobiles, international numbers and 0845 and 0870 numbers . If you are on the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Plan, your inclusive calls will start at 7pm instead of 6pm.
Call set-up fee.
From 1st April 2010, the call set-up fee for non-inclusive calls from landlines and for non-inclusive Broadband Talk calls will increase from 9.3p to 9.9p per call. The existing call set-up fee of 3p per call for BT Basic, Light User Scheme and In-Contact Plus customers remains unchanged.
Call set-up fees will not apply to:

Daytime UK calls.
From 1st April 2010, the cost of UK landline calls made during the daytime will increase from 5.4 pence per minute to 5.9 pence per minute. This change does not apply to BT Basic, Light User Scheme and In-Contact Plus customers. The changes to the evening call period, set-up fee and daytime UK landline call price do not affect inclusive calls of up to an hour made with the Unlimited Anytime Plan. |
